Most homes in San Antonio are built on concrete slab foundations, with drain lines running through the soil underneath. When one of those lines cracks or corrodes, the traditional fix is brutal: jackhammer through the floor or tunnel under the house.
UV-cured pipe lining offers another way. In many cases, under-slab drain lines can be repaired from the inside, without breaking concrete.
Breaking through a slab means removing flooring, cabinets, or fixtures, cutting concrete, digging out the pipe, and then restoring everything afterward. Families sometimes need to move out during the work. Tunneling avoids the floors but requires significant excavation from outside the home.
The line is accessed through a cleanout or other existing access point. After the pipe is cleaned and inspected, a liner is installed and cured with UV light. The result is a new pipe inside the old one, with the slab, floors, and cabinets left untouched.
A leaking drain line under the slab can wash away supporting soil or add moisture to expansive clay, contributing to foundation movement. Sealing the leak promptly helps protect the foundation as well as the plumbing.
The camera tells us whether the line can be lined and exactly where the damage sits. Call Double J Liner Repair at (210) 802-2018 for an inspection and free estimate.
Usually not. Because there is no demolition, most families stay home during the work.
Yes. Leaks can wash out soil or saturate expansive clay, both of which can contribute to movement.
Most lines that still hold their shape can be. A camera inspection confirms it.
